YOGINI BHAVSAR

A home reno is a big decision, a big investment, and a big commitment. Whether your goal is a simple bath reno, a larger kitchen addition, or an entire house renovation, meet the dynamic Yogini Bhavsar, co-partner of Kitchen Kreations & Flooring. Born in Gujarat, India and raised in the beautiful Fiji Islands, she and her husband, Ashish decided to immigrate to Canada to start a new adventure!

Yogini brings to you her 15 years of experience in the home industry. She is knowledgeable and well equipped to work behind-the-scenes once she helps you create your vision. She’s also involved in the Project Management aspect of the design, which means she deals with her clients, vendors, measurements of flooring, counter tops, wall paper, floor plans and elevations, helps in choosing the right products, drafting and deliverables. Her job obviously doesn’t end after the design concept is created. Phew! Without further ado, meet Yogini.

Tell me about your family.
My family means the world to me! My husband Ashish with 15 + years of experience in flooring supports me throughout the reno process. We have two beautiful daughters, Henna and Dhvani who are my best friends.

The most rewarding part of my profession…
I can design and innovate my career the way I want. I work on my own terms and make my own decisions. I’m in control of my destiny. Other perks are that I can help others fulfill their dreams. Everyone has a dream of building a beautiful home and I become a part of it! In this process, I’ve built meaningful relationships with my clients.

My proudest accomplishment…
Coming to Canada with my family and raising my two beautiful girls. I’ve managed to bring out the best in them. My another feat is building Kitchen Kreations & Flooring as I’ve always dreamt of having my own business.

My boldest move to date…
My transition from a Job to opening a business with my partner, Usha. I surprised myself and I’m happy to see my company progressing in such a short time.

I would tell my 20-year old self…
Grow up! Jokes apart…I’ve got a good life with no regrets. I was raised with discipline. I inherited my parents’ strong organizational skills who taught us all to work for what you want in life. That’s why, I don’t run away from a difficult situation.

I’m inspired by…
Lord Krishna’s teachings, my husband Ashish, the people I meet everyday, listening to their hardship stories, and their love for their family. Their positivity has inspired me to become what I am today.

If I had no limits (money, resources), I would create…
Resources for everyone to fulfill their dreams.

I combine beauty and function…
When designing. It’s one thing to design and build beautiful kitchen and floor but end of the day it should be functional to make your life easier.

One thing that separates me from my competition is…
We are not here to just make profits. We get connected to our clients; we care about their emotions and wishes. We make their dream, OUR dream.

I’m passionate about…
My family, friends and my business.

My typical day is…
From the moment I step in the shower in the morning, I start planning my day with a cup of tea in hand. From the morning meeting with a client to the afternoon meeting with the contractor. I’m always thinking of my next step, project, meeting or phone call. There is never a dull moment which keeps my day fresh and exciting.

My favourite project so far…
Creating a lippan art kutch mural for my living room. My family worked together on this and we loved the entire process thus creating beautiful memories.

My project for the future is…
To start a manufacturing facility to create dream Kitchens and floors and have a beautiful showroom that showcases our work of art.

I heard about WINGS…
Through the Canadian Sareeistas group on Facebook. I met all the beautiful ladies in the 2018 saree event and that’s where I heard about WINGS and decided to join.

WINGS has helped me to…
Make me believe I can fly. It has provided me networking opportunities with likeminded ladies. It has brought out my entrepreneurial skills to help me build my business.

One message that I like to share with other women entrepreneurs across the GTA about WINGS is…
It’s not just a networking organization. It’s a professional friendship bridge that provides a platform to new start ups and expand business for all women entrepreneurs. Come join us and learn how to spread your wings and soar high together!
